ASF Logistics, of Mobile Alabama, has announced the opening of a new branch office in Charleston SC.
A spokesperson for ASF Logistics stated, “We are pleased to be able to be in a position to expand our operation in these difficult times, and delighted to be able to better service our customers in the South East United States”. Phillip Ousley, who recent joined ASF Logistics, will head up the new office which will initially focus on expanding the ASF solid export performance record by concentrating on imports from China and South East Asia.
ASF Logistics has existing branch offices in Savannah GA, New Orleans LA, and was founded in 1976. ASF originally specialized in the forestry business handling US exports of logs, lumber, paper pulp, and associated products from the US Gulf. The business has diversified considerably in the last 10 years, and now, while still a prominent force in the forestry business, ASF has diversified operations to cover an expanded commodity base and geographical scope of operations providing customers with bespoke solutions that provide for the optimum flow of goods, materials, and information.
Current projects include, amongst others, feed trucks to Saudi Arabia, recreational vehicles to Australia, synthetic fiber to the Indian Sub-Continent, hardwoods to China and furniture imports into the US from Asia.
